Meet Our Newest Team Momentum Athlete: River
Posted on
At just a year and a half old, River is already proving that impact isn’t measured in age: it’s measured in heart.
This English Cream Golden Retriever is the newest member of Team Momentum, and his days are filled with purpose. As the official therapy dog for Billings Public Schools, River supports a community on a remarkable scale, visiting 36 school buildings and connecting with nearly 16,500 students and 3,000 staff members throughout the year.

Whether he’s making a quick classroom visit or showing up in the moments that matter most, River offers something simple but powerful: calm, comfort, and connection. In the wake of difficult situations, his steady presence and gentle nature help students and staff alike begin to process and heal.
River’s work extends beyond the classroom, too. Each week, he spends time with the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office, supporting deputies, command staff, and administrative teams. He’s also recently become a welcome presence at the Billings DEA office, where he’s already made a lasting impression, and may soon expand his reach even further within the local law enforcement community.

Of course, even hardworking dogs need time to just be dogs. Off duty, River can be found doing what he loves most: playing with friends at the dog park or running the trails beneath the Billings Rimrocks, burning off energy and enjoying every moment.
To help him stay at his best, both on and off the job, River is fueling his journey with Dr. Tim’s Glacier formula, along with our Probiotic Topper and a few well-earned treats. It’s nutrition designed to support the kind of active, purpose-driven life River leads every day.
River is a friend to everyone he meets, and his work is a reminder of the incredible role dogs can play in supporting not just individuals, but entire communities.
We’re proud to welcome River to Team Momentum.
