New plant. Same promise. A revitalized dog food.

posted on March 11th, 2010

You'll notice a difference the next time you open a bag of Dr. Tim's Premium Athletic Dog Food, whether it's Momentum or Pursuit. From the new easy-open feature of our 50 pound bags down to the smaller kibble size, we've improved our products to ensure your pets are getting the highest quality nutrition while keeping the packaging as user-friendly as possible.

What are some of the changes?

* Dr. Tim's commitment to create the best dog food available means that both Momentum and Pursuit are now produced in only one plant that specializes in producing premium athletic dog foods.

* Our new Ohio plant's progressive and reliable extrusion system ensures digestibility of more than 90% of the carbohydrates and starches in our foods, and also safeguards that the vitamins and minerals in Pursuit and Momentum will not be compromised by the cooking process.

* Only the highest grade, consistent and reliably sourced animal protein ingredients available in North America are included in our diets. The low-ash chicken meal, dried egg product and herring meal used in Momentum and Pursuit yield a consistent ash content of 6.5%. Low ash content is the hallmark of quality, and a low ash product allows more space for "energy" as a finished product.

* Our probiotics are now applied externally to the kibble after the extrusion process, ensuring the livelihood of the probiotics and their intended benefits.

* To optimize digestibility, we have chosen rice flour and oat flour as the primary carbohydrate sources.

* Pursuit and Momentum are now more calorically dense. Momentum is now 537 ME Calories/cup and Pursuit is 515 ME calories/cup.

* Dramatically smaller and consistently solid stools.

These important changes may not be visible, but the results certainly will be. We hope you'll place your confidence in our newly consistent products.

Testimonial on revitalized Momentum

posted on March 11th, 2010

We have fed Momentum since 2008 and have had very good results with the diet. We have won several championship races and raised over 40 puppies on Momentum, all that are making up our current race team.

During this time we have actively taken part in the ongoing development and testing of the "New Momentum" and can now surely say that this time, Dr. Tim has nailed it! This is by far the best dry food I have ever fed during my 25 years in sled dog racing. The need for supplementation in the form of meats or fats are gone. I have race dogs gaining weight in the middle of racing/training season that I earlier have had problems keeping weight on. Excellent, consistently solid stools before and after their runs.

This Momentum is dense and calorie rich which makes for small volumes to feed and most importantly the dogs tolerate it even under high stress situations.

If you are looking to improve your teams' diet and performance be sure to check out the New Momentum and Pursuit, you will be glad you did!
