January distance races, Alaska Shots from Knik 200 and other mid-distance races, where mushers test gear, dogs and ideas, and sometimes try to win.
Late fall/Early winter training in Willow, Alaska By mid October we start to hook up our main team. That’s when temperatures drop and usually by this time we already have had our first snowfall with a layer of snow to cover the hard frozen ground.
More training runs in Alaska End of November and the first runs with sled have started. Up to now we have trained with the four-wheeler to be able to control the team and have the dogs pull hard in the lines.
